November 6-7, 2009

Southeast Minnesota Suzuki Organization (SEMSA)
will be celebrating it's 25th year!

SEMSA is proud of it's twenty-five year history of nurturing musicians around SE Minnesota. On November 6 and 7, 2009, students fromSE MN will attend our biennial workshop, Gasshuku, to study the standard repertoire for violin, viola, cello, flute, harp and piano and the art of composition

The highlight of the Gasshuku will be the premier of Ms. McMichael's composition, TBA, for members of the community and students, parents and teachers.  The piece will be of special significance to our community because each of the three movements is based on a different work of art in the Rochester area.  Many members of the community have donated to support the commissioning of the work.  It is a community wide expression of our devotion to all forms of art and the children who study  music.
